The Snapping Shoals Wastewater Treatment Plant is online, which increases Rockdale’s capacity to treat wastewater and positions the County for economic growth. Along with the 4 existing wastewater treatment plants (Quigg Branch, Almand Branch, Scott Creek & Honey Creek), most of which have earned Gold Awards for compliance, the Snapping Shoals Plant adds 3 MGD (Millions of Gallons per Day) of treatment capacity that increases RWR total treatment capacity to 11.77 MGD.
